Privacy Policy
Last updated August 24, 2026. This policy explains what Interview Coach collects, how the product uses it, and the choices you have.
Plain-English summary
Practice data stays tied to your account.
Resumes, job descriptions, transcripts, reports, and saved roles are used to run your practice interviews and give you feedback. Camera preview stays local. Audio is processed only as needed for the practice experience.
For usage rules, see the Terms of Service.
What Interview Coach is
Interview Coach is a preparation tool. It helps you practice interviews, review your answers, and improve before a real interview. It is not designed to assist you during a live interview, exam, assessment, or hiring process where outside help is not allowed.
The interviewer experience may use AI models to generate questions, follow-ups, feedback, summaries, and voice. There is no human interviewer on the other side of a practice session unless we clearly say otherwise.
Information you provide
You may provide account details, job descriptions, resumes, saved roles, STAR stories, interview answers, transcripts, notes, retries, and feedback reports.
You should not upload or paste confidential employer information, customer data, trade secrets, source code, credentials, or other material you are not allowed to share.
Microphone, camera, and recordings
Practice interviews may request microphone access so your answers can be transcribed and reviewed. Depending on the mode, audio may be processed by your browser, our interview API, OpenAI, or another configured speech provider.
Candidate camera video is used for local self-view. It is not uploaded, recorded, stored, or scored by Interview Coach. Turning camera on is optional unless a specific future feature clearly asks for it.
In the anonymous Try It Now flow, recorded answer playback stays in your browser session and is used only so you can hear your own answer during review.
How we use information
We use your information to run practice interviews, tailor questions to the role and resume, create feedback, save reports, compare retries, diagnose product issues, protect the service, and improve reliability.
We may use aggregated or de-identified product analytics to understand which flows work, which errors occur, and how to improve the product. We do not sell your resumes, transcripts, reports, or account content.
Service providers
Interview Coach may rely on hosting, database, authentication, storage, analytics, AI, speech, and avatar providers. These providers process information only as needed to operate the service.
When AI or speech features are enabled, relevant prompts, transcripts, and session context may be sent to the configured AI provider so it can generate interviewer questions, voice, reports, and feedback.
Retention and deletion
Signed-in users can delete interview sessions and account content where deletion controls are available. Account deletion removes profile data, saved roles, resumes, files, sessions, transcripts, reports, usage records, and related account data that we are allowed to delete.
Some records may be kept for a limited time if required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, backups, or service integrity.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect account content. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so use Interview Coach only with information you are comfortable using for practice.
If you believe your account or data may be at risk, stop using the affected session and contact the product owner immediately.
Children
Interview Coach is intended for people preparing for professional interviews. It is not directed to children under 13, and it should not be used by children without appropriate permission and supervision.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product changes. The updated date above tells you when the policy was last revised.
